According to reports referred to in the Metro, Liverpool are looking into signing Salomon Rondon from West Brom for £15 million.
Yep, you read that right.
Clearly, we’re at the point in the window where anything goes for transfer rumours and it’d be interesting to see just whether the Reds are going to go for the powerful forward.
In fairness to him, we think he’s a real handful on his day but he doesn’t actually score many and, more to the point, we don’t see how he fits into our system.
Of course, he’d probably be signed as a back-up forward but surely the likes of Dom Solanke, Daniel Sturridge (whilst he’s still here) and Danny Ings all fit the way we play that bit better.
We can’t see this one happening, then, but it’s always interesting to see such rumours come about as we head towards Deadline Day.
