Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is chasing midfield reinforcements this summer as he seeks to topple Manchester City off the top of their Premier League perch next season but a fierce battle could be set to take place in the market.
The Reds have been widely attributed with an interest in Napoli ace Jorginho this summer but The Daily Star states both Manchester United and Manchester City are also eyeing a deal for the Italy international.
Jorginho is set to be in the middle of a £50m transfer tussle at the end of the season with three Premier League sides chasing his services, with Manchester City eyeing his signature as they seek to replace Yaya Toure in the heart of midfield.
United, meanwhile, are also keen on bolstering their midfield whilst Klopp is aware Liverpool cannot compete with their Premier League rivals on a financial level in the market, in regards to both transfer fee offered and wages presented.
