Liverpool are seeking major additions this summer as they aim to knock Manchester City off their Premier League perch and the Reds are already set to be handed a boost with the arrival of Naby Keita.

The influential midfielder agreed a deal with Liverpool last summer but remained with RB Leipzig for the current campaign, helping the German side reach the Europa League quarter-finals, but his time in the Bundesliga is coming to an end.

However, it seems Keita isn’t the only Leipzig man Liverpool are looking to pinch this summer as French outlet La Provence state Jurgen Klopp is also keen on bringing young defender Dayot Upamecano to Anfield.

The 19-year-old, capped twice by France’s U21 side, is highly-rated on the continent and has attracted plenty of suitors, although the teenager is focusing on finishing the current campaign in fine form.

“I’m here and I feel very good. Everything is going well with the manager, the staff and the rest of the team. We’ll see what the future holds, but, for now, I’m keeping my feet on the ground. I’m here and nowhere else”.

Leipzig, battling to secure a spot in the Champions League for the second season in a row, certainly won’t let the young defender go cheap but Liverpool have the funds following the sale of Philippe Coutinho in January.
