Plenty of speculation has surrounded Liverpool in the build-up to tonight’s Champions League semi-final second-leg against Roma and not all of the reports will be greeted positively by those around Anfield.

Headlines were made earlier this week when the Reds confirmed that Jurgen Klopp’s assistant Zeljko Buvac would be absent until the end of the campaign, citing personal reasons, but a report has suggested a different reason for his departure.

Bosnian outlet Pravda BL, who broke the news of Klopp and Buvac moving to Liverpool to replace Brendan Rodgers, claim that the long-serving partner to the Reds boss will be replacing Arsene Wenger at Arsenal.

The Gunners are eyeing the ideal successor to Wenger after he confirmed he would be stepping aside after 22 successful years at the Emirates Stadium and Buvac, who holds aspirations of becoming a manager in his own right, would find it difficult to reject the advances from the Europa League semi-finalists.
