Liverpool will explore the possibility of signing Borussia Dortmund teen sensation Christian Pulisic this summer, according to Goal.

The football website claim that the Reds are on the hunt for a multi-functional forward as Klopp believes his current side are too reliant on Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.

Goal report that the Reds will look at the 19-year-old, who can play on either flank as well as an attacking midfielder, with him being a favourite of Klopp’s after their time together at Dortmund.

Good Move for Liverpool?

Yes.

While it seems to be the early stages of their interest, the Reds’ willingness to pursue Pulisic is exciting as he will light up Anfield for many seasons to come if they’re successful, given his age and ability.

The teenager featured 42 times for the German giants this season, scoring five, while assisting seven and there’s no reason to suggest he couldn’t instantly make a difference at the Reds if signed this summer.

Pulisic is already known to Klopp with the Reds boss aware of how to get the best out of him, so this could be a very short hunt when it comes to looking for a new versatile forward.

Likely to happen?

With no bid on the table or price point known, it’s hard to evaluate whether a deal can be struck for Pulisic this summer.

However it seems a swoop for him is certainly on the cards.

The 19-year-old is contracted to Dortmund until 2020 and they won’t be keen to sell one of the brightest talents in the game, whether Klopp really wants him or not.

It’s also unknown whether the 19-year-old American would even fancy packing his bags and jumping over to Anfield anytime soon, as he is doing perfectly fine where he is.

Therefore until the Reds actually establish contact rather than just commit themselves to pursuing the talented winger, who knows whether they will be successful.
