Liverpool must joined the reported hunt for Justin Kluivert as not only would his capture help Jurgen Klopp’s side, it would cause Manchester United misery.

The Sun reported on Friday that the Ajax wonderkid was desperate to leave his current club as he publicly moaned about the Dutch club’s efforts to flog him to Tottenham.

“The decreasing morale, lack of confidence, trying to sell me to Tottenham without me knowing,” Kluivert said, as quoted by the national newspaper.

“I heard about that at the last minute. That says nothing about Ajax, but about the people in the club.”

The 19-year-old winger has constantly been linked to the biggest clubs in Europe, with Barcelona even being linked by Diario Gol in recent times, and it is about time the Reds joined the hunt.

Kluivert has scored 11 goals in 36 appearances for Ajax this season and has constantly shown his versatility by switching from wing to wing when ever needed.

The teenager also has an immense amount of experience given his age, from playing 44 times in the Eredivisie and regularly featuring in the Europa League, and this has seen him become one of the most promising talents in Europe.

Kluivert is only destined to keep getting better, which is a frightening thought, and he would be ideal cover next season for the Reds’ already potent attacking force.

Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane would all benefit from the wonderkid being at Anfield, as it would allow Jurgen Klopp to rest the trio more often as Kluivert is capable of filling their boots.

This could see the Reds continue their rampant ways, until it’s time for the teenage wonderkid to regularly dethrone one of the Reds’ current first-team stars in order to be a guaranteed regular.

Aside from improving Klopp’s squad, successfully hijacking the hunt for the teen’s signature would cause Man United and Jose Mourinho pain.

The Sun’s article credits the club with an interest in him, but a previous Daily Mirror report from February showed how highly the player was thought of at Old Trafford.

The newspaper claimed that Man United were in advance talks to sign the attacking prospect and were willing to pay £10million in order to get him in the upcoming summer.

The Mirror’s report also revealed that Mourinho had a special interest in Kluivert as the manager has known the winger ever since he was a boy visiting Barcelona with his dad, Patrick.

Therefore it would cause the Manchester club and Mourinho great pain if the winger was to light up Anfield with his abilities in the near future.

This is all means that the Reds should hijack the reported hunt for the exit desperate wonderkid as not only will he be a promising signing, his arrival would cause the club’s bitter rivals some misery.
