Liverpool must make Watford’s Abdoulaye Doucoure dreams come true by signing the talented midfielder in the summer.

The 25-year-old has been in dazzling form for the Hornets this season, despite their struggles, scoring seven goals, while creating four in the 38 appearances he has made.

Doucoure has been so impressive that BT Sports pundit Robbie Savage opted to label the midfielder as “phenomenal” when naming his alternative Team of the Season, which disqualified players from the Premier League’s top six from being considered.

“Player of the season at Vicarage Road,” Savage claimed when raving about the midfielder’s ability in his column for the Daily Mirror.

“Phenomenal box-to-box engine and the Hornets’ top scorer with seven goals.”

The Hornets midfielder would be the perfect replacement for Emre Can, who looks set to depart the club at the end of the season when his contract expires.

Corriere dello Sport reported on Saturday, as translated by Football Italia, that Juventus were set to announce the signing of the Reds 24-year-old midfielder on May 27.

With Can having featured 37 times for the Reds this season, his departure will be a noticeable one.

However everyone will quickly forget about the German international if Doucoure is quickly signed as his replacement, as the 25-year-old is capable of achieving great things at Anfield.

Also the Hornets midfielder, who is valued at £40million by Watford according to the Mirror, will no doubt passionately leap at the chance to join Jurgen Klopp’s side as he previously claimed that playing for the Merseyside giants would be a dream for him.

“Liverpool is a club that needs no introduction,” the 25-year-old told Canal+ in March, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo.

“I was impatient to play there at Anfield, I wanted to feel the atmosphere. For me it would be a dream to play in a club like this.”

The energetic midfielder would beautifully fit into Klopp’s current system at the Reds and they would be better for his presence at the club.

This all means that Doucoure is easily worth shelling out the £40million that the Hornets reportedly see him being worth and the Reds should make the midfielder’s dreams come true by signing him this summer.
