Several clubs are queueing up to sign Liverpool striker Danny Ings as the 25-year-old considers his future at Anfield, according to the Liverpool Echo

The regional newspaper report that Ings is weighing up his future at the club after a tough season in which he made just 14 first-team appearances in all competitions following his return from a serious injury.

The Echo claim that Crystal Palace are among those clubs interested in the 25-year-old, with Ings the 8th most talked about transfer target on Twitter according to the Transfer Hound and set to be inundated with offers from other Premier League teams this summer, who are swarming for his signature.

It is said that Reds boss Jurgen Klopp rates Ings highly, and will not push the striker towards an exit.

OPINION

It is not surprising to hear that Ings is considering his future this summer after a tough spell at Liverpool so far. The former Burnley man has not had the impact he would have hoped on Merseyside, with two serious injuries putting paid to his chances of becoming a first-team regular at Anfield. The reaction to his first goal in 930 days against West Bromwich Albion last season shows the high regard that the front man is held at the club, but sentiment cannot be held on to for long. Ings needs to be playing, and Liverpool have other options they can turn to in the event of his exit. Ings has the ability to become the main man for another Premier League side, and after missing so much football in recent years he cannot afford to be sitting on the bench for another season. The time looks right for him to move on, and he must choose his next move wisely.
