Liverpool are set to unveil their new away kit later today – and fans have taken to Twitter to delivered mixed verdicts amid hints the colour will be purple.
The Merseyside giants’ 2017-18 away kit was white and their third kit was orange in a campaign in which they finished fourth in the Premier League and reached the Champions League final.
Kit manufacturer New Balance, which is a subsidiary of Warrior, released a promotional video on their Twitter account last night that revealed the away shirt design will be officially unveiled at 9am today (Wednesday).

The final two images of the video had a purple background, which was interpreted by eagle-eyed fans as a clear sign of the colour of the latest kit.
The Premier League club have already unveiled their new home kit for next season, in the club’s traditional red design.
Liverpool fans took to social media en masse to deliver their verdicts on the potential away kit design, with some hailing it as “amazing” and “boss”, and others panning as “horrendous” and “hideous.
