Liverpool goalkeeper Adam Bogdan will join Scottish Premiership side Hibernian on a year-long loan deal, according to Sky Sports.

The broadcaster report on their website that the 30-year-old Hungary international has been training with the Edinburgh club ahead of the move.

Sky Sports report that Bogdan is set to provide cover for the injured Hibs goalkeeper Ofir Marciano, who suffered a finger injury when on international duty with Israel.

Good move for Liverpool?

Yes.

Bogdan has never really made an impact at Liverpool since his free transfer from Bolton in 2015, making just six senior appearances for the Reds in three seasons.

The 6ft 4in Hungary international [Transfermarkt] has been farmed out on loan to Wigan already during his time at Anfield, and this loan will spell the end of his career at Liverpool with just one year remaining on his current deal.

There is little point in Liverpool keeping him around this year, and a loan is the best move for all parties.

Likely to happen?

Considering the definitive language used in the report, and the fact that this information is coming from Sky, you would think that this move will go through without a hitch.

There will be no resistance from Liverpool, and with Bogdan training with Hibs already, a move looks absolutely certain to be confirmed very soon.
