Liverpool are ready to sell attacker Sheyi Ojo with Reading and Nottingham Forest both keen to recruit him, according to The Sun.

The national newspaper claim that the Reds have slapped a £10million price tag on the pacey winger’s head as he is seen as being nowhere near to breaking into Jurgen Klopp’s first-team.

The Sun report that Ojo is currently on the Reds’ pre-season tour of America but that he will be allowed to fly home if Reading or Forest are able to match his price tag.

OPINION

The Reds should be able to easily get the speed demon off their books this summer as with two admirers already pursuing him then clearly there will be a club willing to pay £10million for him. It’s disappointing to read that the Reds are ready to bin Ojo as he has shown glimpses of his promising talent in pre-season so far. However if he is deemed to be miles off breaking into the club’s first-team set-up then it’s right that they cash in on him this summer. The 21-year-old winger may have showcased his blistering pace while at Craven Cottage on loan with Fulham last season but he didn’t show much else. Ojo found himself not being included in Fulham’s squad on a regular basis in the second half of the season when the Cottagers were arguably tearing the Championship apart. Hopefully Ojo is able to find a club to sign him ahead of the new campaign as based on this report he won’t get the regular football he needs in order to continue developing as a player at Anfield. If the 21-year-old doesn’t move before transfer deadline day, then a loan exit is very likely to happen.
