Liverpool are set to allow duo Marko Grujic and Danny Ings leave the club but one condition must be met, according to the Mirror.

The newspaper reports on their website that the Reds will let unfavoured striker Ings leave Anfield on a permanent basis, but Serbian central enforcer Grujic must sign a new deal if he wants to be allowed to go out on loan next season.

Boss Jurgen Klopp needs to recoup some money after the record-smashing arrival of Allison from Roma, especially after a spending spree of around £200 million so far this summer.

OPINION

This is the right decision by the club to let the duo leave, but Grujic must ensure that he meets the conditions outlined by the club. It is evident that Liverpool are still keen on Grujic, otherwise they would have let him leave on a permanent basis like Ings. It is obvious that they believe that a loan spell would ensure that he comes back a better player, as he needs to get the experience required to have a shot at regular football. Grujic is wanted by Cardiff and Crystal Palace, and both clubs would be the ideal destinations for him to develop as a player and nuture his talent, whilst still playing in the Premier League. Ings has not been favoured by Klopp to be a regular starter in the senior team, and a move away from Merseyside is the best option for him to recapture his goal scoring form, as he is not going to be getting any playing time at Liverpool any time soon.
