A section of Liverpool fans have given their approval at the idea of Ben Woodburn joining Aston Villa on loan next season after reports suggested the two clubs are in talks.
As reported by the Liverpool Echo, Villa have made contact with the Merseyside club to try and take him to Villa Park next season, with fellow Championship side Sheffield United also competing for his signature. Wigan Athletic were also interested, but their loan bid was rejected.
The report reveals that the 18-year-old won’t travel to the Jurgen Klopp’s pre-season training camp in France as he looks set to complete a loan deal before the Championship season starts next weekend.
One Liverpool fan said that if it happens, it will be a great move for Woodburn.

OPINION
These Liverpool fans are clearly happy at the prospect of Ben Woodburn joining Aston Villa on loan next season. He’s obviously a fan favourite at Anfield and you can see that the fans really care about his development as they see him as a real star of the future. The fans will hope that he can go out on loan, either for six months or the whole season, and come back to the Merseyside club fitter, stronger and more confident in his abilities. He certainly has the ability to score goals in the Championship, but he has to find a consistency to his game and perform week in and week out in front of massive crowds who are paying their hard-earned money to watch their team. That kind of pressure is something he’s never felt on a regular basis, but it should help his development in the long run.
