Some Liverpool fans on social media were left astounded after it was reported that the Reds were set to demand £27million for Divock Origi.
The Daily Mail reported on Tuesday that the Reds attacker would be allowed to leave the club this summer but that a £27million price tag had been slapped up on his head.
While Reds supporters didn’t seem shocked to hear that Origi was heading for the exit doors at Anfield, they couldn’t believe their club was asking such a high price for his services.
One supporter of Jurgen Klopp’s side tweeted that it was a ridiculous price to ask for Origi and claimed that the club should be seeking a fee between £15million and £20million in order to get rid of him.
Live 4 Liverpool have rounded up a selection of tweets by Reds supporters over the price tag of Divock Origi:

Price for Origi is ridiculous. Just accept £15m-£20m for him and move him on.

Crazy isn't it. Won't sell a single one at that price. We want rid. We can't demand fees like that.

Realistically, Liverpool will settle for half of those asking prices with extra fees for appearances.
These valuations are madness.
Only price that seems reasonable is Mignolet's— Roy O (@cro1) July 24, 2018
Prices for Origi, Grujic will not happen and Ojo likely to get half or a bit more then half. If We do get the prices touted Edwards should get the keys to Liverpool.

OPINION
After the pre-season Origi has had so far, the Reds will be lucky if they get anyway near the amount that they’re asking for. Based on his recent displays it’s easy to see why so many Reds fans have been left shocked after reading about the forward’s price tag. However it’s hard to argue with the supporters that tweeted if Michael Edwards got a club to pay that amount, then he deserves the keys to the city. The only reason that seems logical to why the club think they can get anywhere near £27million is perhaps with him still only being 23-years-old, maybe a club is willing to take a massive gamble on him still fulfilling his once promising potential.
