Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to drool over the latest World Cup performance of Dejan Lovren.
The centre-back played the full 120 minutes of normal and added time for Croatia on Sunday night as they needed a penalty shootout to secure a win against Denmark.
A section of Liverpool supporters were in social media awe of Lovren afterwards as he continued his excellent form in the heart of defence for Zlatko Dalic’s side.

COMMENTARY
It is fair to say that Lovren has won over a big section of the Anfield faithful with his performances in the calendar year to date. The big centre-back was at rock bottom last October after suffering the humiliation of being substituted midway through the first half of Liverpool’s demoralising defeat against Tottenham at Wembley. But the 28-year-old fought back from a social media shellacking and a demoralising professional blow to deliver some outstanding displays alongside January signing Virgil van Dijk en route to Liverpool’s Champions League final defeat. With his confidence at an all-time high, the Croatian has been one of the outstanding defenders at the World Cup, for a team that are in the favourable half of the last-eight draw and have an excellent chance of progressing in the competition. That’s some turnaround.
