As AC Milan’s financial troubles worsen by the day, Liverpool need to take this opportunity to snatch Gianluigi Donnarumma on the cheap.

As reported by Forbes, AC Milan are in major financial difficulties and have missed their deadline to repay U.S. private equity fund Elliott, who helped fund their recent takeover.

Liverpool need to take advantage of this situation and put in a bid for Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, who is one of the best keepers in world football and would make their team exponentially better.

The best thing is, despite being one of the best in the business, the brilliant Italian is still just 19-years-old and would be a fixture in Jurgen Klopp’s first team for years to come.

He’s got everything that you’d want in a modern goalkeeper and pulls off miraculous saves that other keepers wouldn’t even attempt. He also has good concentration and doesn’t make many mistakes, which would be a massive improvement on the error-prone duo of Lorius Karius and Simon Mignolet, who are the current options for Liverpool between the sticks.

A year ago, you would have said that Donnarumma was simply unobtainable and too expensive for any club to even think about making a bid. But now, with these financial worries, the Italian giants could be tempted to cash in on one of their most prized assets and Liverpool might get a bargain.

The 19-year-old might even want to leave anyway because, as reported by The Evening Standard, AC Milan were kicked out of European competition due to their financial situation recently. Klopp’s team can offer Champions League football, good wages and a genuine title challenge in English football.

If Liverpool do secure Donnarumma’s signature, they will become one of the strongest sides in Europe with hardly any weaknesses in their team. Goalkeeping remains their one weakness, but a solution is staring them in the face.
