Liverpool attacker Danny Ings is unlikely to seal a move away from Anfield ahead of the transfer window slamming shut for English sides, according to the Liverpool Echo.

The regional newspaper state that unless there is a dramatic turn of events before the 5pm transfer deadline on Thursday (Today) Ings won’t be leaving Anfield.

The Liverpool Echo report that the 26-year-old forward has attracted plenty of Premier League interest this summer but that no club has been willing to match their £20million asking price for him.

OPINION

Well this will be a turn up for the books as the forward, who earns £60,000-a-week at Anfield, (Source: Total Sportek) has been looking likely to exit the club all summer. While the newspaper claim that Jurgen Klopp isn’t actively looking to offload the player, Ings appears to be chomping at the bit to get first-team football in order to get his career back on track. The 26-year-old forward doesn’t seem likely to be handed enough opportunities to regular feature at Anfield especially since the form of Daniel Sturridge in pre-season and will be frustrated if no English side come in for him. While a European side could make an approach for Ings after Thursday’s deadline, no club outside of England has been regularly linked with making a move for the former Burnley hitman as of yet. Hopefully there is a dramatic turn of events for Ings’ sake as it would be nice to see him revive his career after bad luck with injuries even if it was away from Anfield.
