Some Liverpool fans on social media lapped up Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho’s latest press conference after he ended up storming out of it.

The Reds’ Premier League rivals Man United had just lost 3-0 to Tottenham at Old Trafford and Mourinho when asked about the scoreline claimed that he deserved more respect.

“What was the result? 3-0,” said the Portuguese manger in his post-match conference on Monday, as quoted by Sky Sports.

“Do you know what this means? 3-0, but also means three Premierships, and I won more Premierships alone, than the other 19 managers together. Three for me, and two for them.

“Respect!”

Several supporters of Jurgen Klopp’s side opted to take Twitter to share their joy over what had happen with several using laughing emojis and gifs to state that Mourinho had clearly lost the plot.

OPINION

It’s hard to think we’re only a few games into the 2018/19 Premier League season based on Mourinho’s reaction. The Portuguese manager is clearly struggling with life at Old Trafford currently after losing to both Brighton as well as Spurs and won’t get any sympathy from Liverpool supporters. The Man United manager who is usually hard to bear when his side are winning and it’s nice to see the boot on the other foot. Also with the Reds and Man United being such bitter rivals, it’s no surprise that one Liverpool fan urges the Red Devils to keep Mourinho forever. It’s hard to see how the experienced manager is going to turn the situation around at Old Trafford and the longer he stays, the more points his side will likely drop. However Reds supporters know that the only way to make Man United’s misery sweeter is for their side to keep winning and end up with silverware by the time the season ends.
