Many Liverpool fans took to social media in order to destroy midfielder Jordan Henderson for his performance during the 1-1 draw with Chelsea on Saturday.
The Reds captain started the game against the Blues and a large section of supporters of Jurgen Klopp’s didn’t hold back when delivering their verdict on his latest display.
One fan tweeted that Henderson was irritating them as he played the ball backwards rather than forwards in order to launch an attack while another simply called the player a liability.
Live 4 Liverpool have rounded up some of the best tweets below:
Salah has been our best player by a distance just a couple poor decisions at the final moment. Henderson poor so far.

OPINION
Henderson earns a £100,000-a-week at Anfield (Source: Spotrac) and this section of supporters don’t seem to believe the club is getting value for their money. The 28-year-old midfielder is normally the brunt of criticism from Reds fans when things go wrong but it’s hard to argue that he put in a worthwhile performance when playing at Stamford Bridge on Saturday. Henderson struggled to win the midfield battle for his side and his passing was wide of the mark more often than not. As one fan tweeted during matches such as the one against the Blues, it’s hard to see what Henderson brings to the table. Some may opt to praise his leadership abilities as he was seen barking orders during the game but the Reds have enough experience on the pitch without him. It’ll be interesting to see if Klopp opts to keep the faith with Henderson as surely with Naby Keita waiting in the wings, he is replaceable in the team following his performance against the Blues.
