A section of Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to drool over Mo Salah after his display in the 3-0 win over Southampton on Saturday.
Salah netted his third goal of the Premier League season to ensure the Reds of their sixth win so far, with Joel Matip also amongst the goalscorers with a soaring header in the first half.
Liverpool initially went ahead through an own goal from the Saints’ Wesley Hoedt, and fans were rather delighted on Twitter following the 26-year-old’s display.
Some comments included “relentless” and “best out of front 3”.

Salah looking sharper today. Just unlucky for not getting more goals.

That goal for Salah, no matter how lucky he was to get it, will do a world of good for his confidence. He was really good in the second half. Honestly he was better playing from the wings. #LFC

Beside the goal Salah was everywhere, he is the one who forced the corner for the second goal and the foul for the third goal. Relentless

OPINION
It is hard not to agree with the majority of Liverpool fans here. Salah has been recently criticised for not scoring many goals as well as his diminishing form – but he certainly silenced those critics with this performance. He was excellent in his attacking play, and really threatened the Southampton defence time after time during this clash. Salah’s combinations with the likes of Firmino really reinforced the fact that he is not having a bad time – especially with his goal. He was unlucky to have a second one ruled out for offside, but that does not matter – he has got the praise that he needed from the supporters. Fingers crossed that he maintains this type of form in time for their next fixture against Chelsea, as his quality will definitely be needed to get a positive result against the Blues next week. Things can only go onwards and upwards from here – even if one fan here does think that his form is still dipping.
