Jamie Redknapp believes Liverpool’s front line will soon click and when that happens Jurgen Klopp’s side will inflict a heavy defeat on one unsuspecting team.

The Sky Sports pundit shared that while others may worry about the Reds’ struggling to fire, it doesn’t worry him as they’ve still managed to keep up with Manchester City despite not being clinical in front of goal.

Redknapp also added that due to being able to do this then the Reds should strike fear into the rest of the Premier League this season.

“It doesn’t worry me that Liverpool’s front line are struggling to fire,” wrote the pundit for the Daily Mail.

“Quite the opposite. The fact they are unbeaten and level on points with Manchester City at the top of the table despite not being as clinical in front of goal should strike fear into the rest of the Premier League.

“One day soon they will click. When that happens, one team will be due a walloping.”

OPINION

Redknapp is completely spot-on with his assessment of the Reds. It’s only a matter of time before the likes of Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino hit red-hot form this season as they’ve shown glimpses of their talents. Salah showed what he was capable of during Saturday’s clash with Huddersfield Town as he took his opportunity to score during that fixture with ease. The Egyptian winger may have some questioning his form after not scoring a ridiculously amount of goals this season after drowning in goals in his last campaign, but they’re wrong to. Salah’s performances haven’t been awful by any stretch of the imagination and people have been too quick to jump on his back. Hopefully the winger keeps scoring following his goal against the Terriers, not just to aid his side, but to stop everyone criticising him and doubting his ability. Salah is clearly a fantastic player who the Reds are lucky to have and he doesn’t need to be unfairly critiqued at every turn.
