Many Liverpool fans heaped praised on Brazilian midfielder Fabinho for his display during the 4-0 win over Red Star Belgrade on Wednesday.
The 25-year-old was handed a rare chance to start a game for the Reds against the Serbian giants and made a case why he should have a regular place in Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Several Reds supporters noticed his excellent performance with one even claiming that they hoped for him to become a first-team regular after watching that display.
While another claimed that Fabinho looked like a man possessed during the match and it was easy to see why that fan held that belief.

Fabinho was amazing against Red Star and really should be celebrated for his display. It’s no surprise that a large section of Reds supporters opted to heap praise on him and hopefully Klopp was equally as impressed. The 25-year-old did all the dirty work in midfield and was able to dictate the game through his passes. With the Reds set to play Cardiff City at the weekend, a side that have been struggling in the Premier League season, hopefully Klopp sees fit to play the Brazilian once again. It’s clear that Fabinho is starting to find his feet at Anfield after joining in the summer and getting regular game time is only going to speed up his settling in process. The Reds have been lacking a true defensive-midfielder for a while and Fabinho was able to look like the player they’ve been lacking. You would think that Jordan Henderson, who missed the game due to injury, may be worried about his place.
