COMMENTARY
Some Liverpool fans appeared to border on being disgusted at the sight of Jordan Henderson during the clash with Watford, even though their side won 3-0. The 28-year-old midfielder started the game against the Hornets and fan directly claimed that the England international shouldn’t be considered a starter anymore, and that did seem really harsh. The Reds weren’t exactly firing on all cylinders against the Hornets by any account, but Henderson didn’t deserve the level of abuse he got. While Henderson didn’t aid the Reds’ attack or make them look like a creative threat, that’s never really been his job. In games where Jurgen Klopp’s side are meant to dominate, more fans notice the impact he has but in games against the likes of Watford, he is regularly criticised for not contributing goals or assists. However while Henderson is perhaps more defensive minded, it was bizarre that one fan suggested a career change by claiming the player was more suited to playing rugby. Then again following the fan making the comment, the midfielder foolishly went and got himself sent-off.

Sorry to say it, but Henderson should not be starting for us any more
Too often his touch lets him down, and he has to go back
Any time he gets space to move forward he turns sideways and finds a full back
We need to pass into forwards' feet here

Henderson much more suited to rugby with his backward and sideways passes! #LFC

Henderson is absolutely pointless in a game like this where there’s no space. So predictable he’ll only pass the ball sideways or backwards when under pressure or when someone’s close to him. Bring Keita on for him and we win this. #LFC

Henderson is so frustrating to watch, not good enough for our starting 11. #LFC
