Liverpool jet out to the Parc des Princes to take on Paris Saint-Germain in a crucial Champions League group stage encounter on Wednesday, and Jurgen Klopp is expected to make two changes to his starting XI.

The Reds emerged 3-2 winners in the reverse fixture at Anfield earlier this season, and currently lie a point ahead of the Ligue 1 giants in a tight Group C.

A win or draw in this one means that Liverpool’s progress to the knockout stages remains in their hands, but a loss would mean they would likely need to win against Napoli and see the other result go their way.

In goal, Alisson is expected to retain his place as normal.

In defence, Trent Alexander-Arnold is expected to line up again at right-back with Andy Robertson on the left, while Virgil van Dijk is likely to keep his place in the centre. The return of Joe Gomez from injury means that the 6ft 2in ace [Transfermarkt] is expected to replace Dejan Lovren alongside the Netherlands international.

Considering the dangers that PSG pose in midfield and up front, it is thought likely that Klopp will revert to a 4-3-3 for this one, meaning an extra man in the middle.

That is expected to see in-form star Xherdan Shaqiri axed in favour of James Milner, while Jordan Henderson and Gini Wijnaldum both keep their places.

The attacking trio of Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino are expected to be retained.
