Liverpool are aiming to instantly shake off their surprise lose to Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League when they take on a Fulham side who have consistently shipped goals this season.

The Reds suffered a 2-0 defeat to Red Star on Tuesday and now host Fulham, who have conceded 29 goals in 11 games, at Anfield on Sunday.

After watching his side losing in the Champions League, Jurgen Klopp is expected to make several changes to the side that started against the Serbian giants and unleash some of his side’s attacking talent.

Daniel Sturridge, who earns £120,000-a-week (Source: Spotrac), is likely to be axed so that Roberto Firmino could start Sunday’s game leading the line, with Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah expected to be either side of him.

Klopp is also likely to deploy Xherdan Shaqiri, who missed Tuesday’s trip to Serbia, after being in impressive form this season.

The winger’s return will no doubt see Adam Lallana drop back to the bench after being handed a rare start in mid-week.

The other change, and the third one in total, that Klopp will most likely make sees James Milner dropped in order to see Naby Keita return to the starting line-up after injury.

The 5ft 8in tall (Source: TransferMarket) livewire was fit enough to make the bench against Red Star, but played no part, and it’s likely that Klopp will start the midfielder against a struggling Fulham to ensure an energetic performance.

The German manager is then expected to make his fourth and final change to the team that started Tuesday’s clash in his defence by axing Joel Matip in favour of playing Joe Gomez.

The English centre-back is available for the clash with Fulham (Source: BBC) despite their being previous concerns about his Achilles injury.
