COMMENTARY
There wasn’t much to be cheery about from a Liverpool perspective during the 2-1 loss to Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday but some fans found an outfield player to praise. While goalkeeper Alisson Becker likely was the Reds’ best player who started the clash with PSG, a notable section of supporters heaped praise on midfielder Naby Keita. One highlighted the fact that they were impressed with his tenacity and ball control when entering the game, and it’s easy to see why that was the case. Keita replaced Georginio Wijnaldum in the 66th minute of the match and quickly went about trying to get the game turned around in favour of his side by running at PSG. As one fan rightly describe him, Keita was a breath of fresh air as he seemed to have the legs to make PSG have to think twice about charging forward themselves. Hopefully Jurgen Klopp was equally impressed and the 23-year-old will get to start against Everton on Sunday.

?FACT: Naby Keita completed more dribbles, in the last 20 minutes of the game, than Jordan Henderson, James Milner and Gini Wijnaldum managed all game.
Tells you a lot really.

Ball control and pace was on point. Hopefully he can get more games under his belt.
