COMMENTARY
Liverpool provided an update of the fitness of defender Joe Gomez and attacker Sadio Mane ahead of the Champions League clash with Paris St Germain and it saw fans go wild with delight. The Reds posted a brief article on their official website featuring quotes by manager Jurgen Klopp in order to inform fans that Mane and Gomez both had a chance of playing against PSG after overcoming fitness concerns. Mane was thought to have been battling sickness while Gomez missed Saturday’s clash with Watford due to suffering a knock in training, but it seems it’s all good news regarding those two for the crucial Champions League clash. It’s no surprise that the update had several fans posted yes and celebrating like they had scored a goal as Mane as well as Gomez are important members of the first-team and Klopp needs to field his strongest possible team to overcome PSG on Wednesday.
