Stan Collymore has predicted Liverpool to defeat Everton 2-0 when the two sides face off in the first Merseyside Derby of the season.
The former Reds player shared what he thought the outcome of the match would be via his personal Twitter account when predicting all the scores for this weekend’s Premier League action.

The last time the two sides met was in January in the FA Cup third round when the Reds defeated their local rivals 2-1 thanks to Virgil Van Dijk scoring the winner in the 84th minute.
OPINION
While it’s no surprise that Collymore is predicting victory for the Reds, it’s intriguing that by stating it’s going to be a 2-0 win that it might be comfortable day for Jurgen Klopp’s side. Everton have improved this season under Marco Silva and have few players capable of causing an upset on Sunday. So even though it might be nice to hear Collymore predicting a comfortable win for the Reds, you feel like fans should be braced for a satisfying if nervy encounter. After losing to PSG in midweek, it would be telling how the players respond against the Toffees after tasting disappointment. Given the level of experience in the Reds’ squad, if heads drop it will be shock but you never know in football. Also it will be interesting to see the side Klopp fields against the Toffees as after watching his team’s display against Paris St Germain, surely changes are afoot especially in the midfield department.
