Liverpool could sanction a loan move for goalkeeper Kamil Grabara with Rangers manager Steven Gerrard thought to be plotting a move for the 19-year-old, according to the Daily Express.

The national newspaper claim that the Reds would be reluctant to sell the shot-stopper they spent in the region of £250,000 on signing from Ruch Chorzow in 2016.

The Daily Express report that Gerrard is a big fan of Grabara and planning on using his Anfield connections to get him as the Gers want to sign a new goalkeeper in the January window to help them compete with Celtic for the title.

OPINION

It’s good to hear that the Reds aren’t considering cashing in on Grabara as the highly-rated goalkeeper looks like being a talent for the future. The teenager might not have made his senior debut for the Reds as of yet but he did face Manchester United last summer in a pre-season friendly, which would have given him a taste of what he can expect if he continues making progress at the club. However given that playing for Rangers could give him vital experience to see his career kick-on if Gerrard does see through his interest in the shot-stopper, the Reds should lend his services to the Gers. Rangers do have plenty of goalkeeping options as they have Allan McGregor,Wes Foderingham  Jak Alnwick, though he has been loaned out, and Robbie McCrorie on their books, Gerrard wouldn’t be keen on Grabara if he didn’t think the Liverpool youngster had a chance of getting playing time ahead of them at Ibrox.
