PSG have reportedly named their price for Adrien Rabiot, and Liverpool would be foolish not to intervene in the race to sign the French international.

The 23-year-old is keen to leave the Ligue 1 champions this January, and it was believed that he had agreed a deal to join Barcelona on a free transfer at the end of the summer, as reported in the Guardian.

That now seems less definite than it did, and reputable PSG source Paris United are suggesting that the French side would be willing to accept around £13.3 million to let him leave this month, as opposed to losing him for nothing in a few months time.

If that is the case, then Liverpool should jump at the chance to sign the towering 6ft 3in powerhouse. For that price, for a player of Rabiot’s quality, the deal would be a bargain, and more than affordable for the Reds.

The midfielder would bring another level of class to a well-stocked squad, and would would provide a long term replacement to the likes of James Milner and Jordan Henderson in the centre of the park.

Rabbit’s wages, it is thought, would total around £8.8 million a year, and while that is steep, the Frenchman has the potential to be one of the very best midfielders in Europe.

If Jurgen Klopp has his eye on the ball, this deal should be made to happen.
