Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is expected to hand academy prospects Rafa Camacho and Curtis Jones starts when his team take on Wolverhampton Wanderers in the FA Cup on Monday.

With Trent Alexander-Arnold the only fit senior right back at the club following Nathaniel Clyne’s loan move to Bournemouth, the time is right for Klopp to give Camacho the start on the right hand side of the defence.

Midfielder Curtis Jones is another youngster who is likely to come in, this time in central midfield. James Milner and Georginio Wijnaldum have played a lot of football this campaign, meaning that they will surely be rested and the teenager given a chance.

Along with Alexander-Arnold, Wijnaldum and Milner, Alisson, Virgil van Dijk, Andrew Robertson, Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane can all expect to drop out.

Back up goalkeeper Simon Mignolet will almost certainly start between the sticks, giving Alisson a well-deserved rest. The same goes for Van Dijk and Robertson who will probably be given the night off; Fabinho and Alberto Moreno will likely start in their places. Camacho, as mentioned, is expected to come in on the right.

With Joe Gomez and Joel Matip both out injured the only way for Klopp to give his most important player – Van Dijk – a rest is to push defensive midfielder Fabinho into the back four.

In midfield, captain Jordan Henderson will surely keep his place following Thursday’s defeat to Manchester City, however, Milner and Wijnaldum will almost certainly get a night off. Instead, Jones and summer signing Xherdan Shaqiri will likely start.

With the team’s fearsome front three all expected to be given a rest, Klopp will presumably turn to the trio of Divock Origi, Daniel Sturridge and Adam Lallana, all of whom deserve the chance to show what they can do from the start.
