OPINION
Sadio Mane really was the only bright spot in Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with West Ham United on Monday night. The Senegal international opened the scoring for Jurgen Klopp’s team and, as several Reds fans have noted, seemed to be the only player playing to win the game – and the Premier League. He was trying to make things happen and was producing positive football, which was in stark contrast to Roberto Firmino, in particular. He took his goal very well, however controversial the build up, and looked dangerous throughout. He is bang in form at the moment and it’s just a shame that his some of his team mates aren’t on his wave length. It was a pretty disappointing performance and result from Liverpool tonight, but Mane stood out as the one player who maybe could have changed the course of the contest. It didn’t end up happening, of course, but that wasn’t for lack of trying.

Bobby was shocking tonight! Truly awful worst player on the park. We’re badly missing Trent and the balance he brings to our attack and his ability an link up with Salah. Mane a shining light an an example everybody else needs to step up an follow! #lfc

For the second game in a row, Mane was the only one who tried. He has that elite mentality which I feel the rest lack.

The only player that deserves a mention today is Mane. He has been on form these past few games. We go again. #13morefinals #LFC #YNWA
