COMMENTARY
It seems that lots of Liverpool fans are on the verge of packing defender Dejan Lovren’s bags for him after it was reported that he was a summer target for AS Roma, Napoli and AC Milan. The Daily Mirror reported on Wednesday that the three Italian giants were weighing up whether to make a move for the Reds defender, as the trio were all looking to bolster their defence in the summer. This news that there were teams interested in Lovren was celebrated by a notable number of Reds fans. In fact several took the time to urge their club to bin the player in the summer amid this reported interest, with one even claiming he’d take £10 for him. A few Reds fans opted to share their reasons why they’d be willing to wave goodbye to Lovren as a couple pointed out that they thought the 29-year-old was injury-prone, while one described him as unreliable. Lovren, who has played 13 times this season, has made some high-profile errors during his Reds career so it’s no surprise that some believe they can do better. However while that may arguably be the case, especially when you consider where he currently is in the pecking order, the Reds need to line up a suitable replacement before approving an exit for him.

Let him go. He is a good defender but we have better. We got rid of Agger, who I rated as he wasn’t strong enough and the same goes for DL, but his lapses in concentration and decision making let him down, IMO.

Cash in I’d say, unreliable, injury prone, need an upgrade. Goodbye Dejan and thanks.
