OPINION
This news doesn’t come as much of a surprise to anyone who saw the incident on Sunday. Kent must have considered himself lucky for getting away with the incident during the game, especially with what happened earlier in the game between Brown and Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos. The Colombian international was sent off for something pretty similar to what Kent got away with, and so it was fortunate that Steven Gerrard’s side didn’t go down to nine men on Sunday. Kent showed a serious lack of judgement, as Morelos, did by allowing himself to be goaded by Brown. Everyone knows what the Celtic captain is like, he’s a wind-up merchant who will do whatever it takes to gain his side an inch, and so Kent should have remained calm and simply continued to play well. He scored an excellent goal and so this incident takes the shine off what was a tremendous display.
