Liverpool midfielder Rafael Camacho could leave the club for £10 million this summer, according to Football Insider.

The reputable football news site reports that the Reds are ready to cash in on the 18-year-old after he snubbed the club’s offer of a new five-year deal, with his current deal at Anfield ending next summer.

The report adds that there several clubs from across the likes of Germany, Spain, France and Portugal are keeping tabs on the sought-after young ace, and that they are considering making a swoop for Camacho in the summer.

The barely-seen player almost left the club for Sporting Lisbon in January, but the move was blocked by Jurgen Klopp.

OPINION

Klopp prevented Camacho from leaving as he wanted him to be a part of the first team, but seeing as that has not really happened, it is easy to see why the player rejected the offer of a new deal. Cashing in on him may be the best option for Liverpool at the moment, especially with his contract ending next summer, when he could leave on a free transfer. They should cash in on him while they can before they run that risk, as he is unlikely to get regular game time in the first team next season. He has made two senior appearances this season, once in the FA Cup and one time as a substitute in a Premier League, so to be honest, £10 million would be a rather decent fee to receive for his services. The report states that he is not short of admirers, so it is clear what the Reds must do once the window opens.
