OPINION
Liverpool midfielder Gini Wijnaldum has been a regular feature for Jurgen Klopp this season, and that is for good reason. Overall, his performances have been consistent, but the same cannot be said in this 3-1 win against Southampton on Friday night. It is puzzling how his form can decline so rapidly from one match to the next, as he was surprisingly awful all evening. Two of the supporters here have questioned what Wijnaldum actually brings to the team, and to be honest, that is rather harsh based on his contribution this term. All players have bad games and the Holland international is no doubt one of those players, but if you look at it closely, it seems to be the away games that he tends to struggle in. Why this is the case remains to be seen, but hopefully he can step it up in time for Liverpool’s Champions League quarter-final next week.

Gini Wijnaldum is *out of form*. He's currently a net liability to LFC on the pitch.

Trent, Bobby, Wijnaldum all shocking. Robertson, Mo and Naby started slowly but seem to be in the game now. Matip and Fabinho need to wake up.
