Wolves would be playing a blinder if they signed Rafael Camacho from Liverpool in the summer transfer window.

According to Goal, the defeated FA Cup semi-finalists are in pursuit of the 18-year-old attacker, who is also being tracked by RB Leipzig and Sporting CP.

It is understood that Liverpool want £10million plus add-ons for the Portugal Under-20 international, and that could turn out to be quite the bargain for Wolves if they do manage to sign him because the future is bright for the young winger.

Camacho was handed his professional debut by Jurgen Klopp this season when he played against Wolves in the FA Cup Third Round.

Wolves won 2-1 on that occasion as Klopp opted to start Camacho at right-back, even though the wonderkid is better known for playing on either of the wings or even up front as a striker.

He has made 18 appearances for Liverpool’s youth sides in Premier League 2 and the UEFA Youth League this season, earning 18 appearaces across the two competitions.

In those outings, Camacho has scored an eye-catching nine goals and supplied eight assists – so it is easy to see why Nuno Espirito Santo would want to sign his fellow Portuguese.

Wolves already have a few Portuguese players that could help Camacho settle down if he does swap Merseyside for the West Midlands in the summer, and he would surely be on the verge of Nuno’s first team almost straight away.

Adama Traore’s poor form this season shows that Wolves’ weakness is their lack of depth in the wide attacking areas, and Camacho has the ability to be able to play a back-up role now, and in a few years’ time he will no doubt be a starter.

Molineux would surely erupt if Nuno is able to pull off a £10million deal for Camacho in the summer.

The Liverpool teenager will be worth so much more than that in just a couple of years of playing regularly for the club.
