COMMENTARY
Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson is often Marmite amongst the Anfield faithful, but that wasn’t the case on Tuesday against Porto. The 28-year-old midfielder had loads of Reds fans in awe of him on social media as they couldn’t believe their eyes. Henderson played in a more attacking role than usual, similar to how Jurgen Klopp deployed him in the clash with Southampton, and was a joy to watch. The midfielder constantly had Porto sweating due to his work rate and sublime passing ability, so it was no surprise that his praise were being sung by Reds fans. One Liverpool supporter claimed to have tears in their eyes watching Henderson while another was convinced he deserved the Man of the Match award, as they confidently described him as the best player on the pitch. It’s fair to say the midfielder was an important part of Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Porto, and fans will be eager to see him continue to be in red-hot form.
