COMMENTARY
Many Liverpool fans took to social media to drool over the talents of midfielder James Milner after his first-half display against Porto. Several gushed about the veteran’s clearance that ended up leading to Naby Keita scoring, while others were just generally impressed with his display. One Reds fan was so blown away by Milner’s display at half-time that they were demanding that the midfielder be handed a new one-year contract. It was oddly specific that the club only extend Milner’s terms by a year, however as long as he gets a new deal, then that is the important thing. Milner’s current contract is set to expire at the end of the season and it’s hard to picture Jurgen Klopp’s side without him. The midfielder who was playing at left-back against Porto is a versatile hard-working player who also has the skills to carve sides open with his passing ability. It’s interesting that the midfielder even had one Reds fan claim that Milner doesn’t get the credit he deserves as by now everyone at Anfield knows how good he is. Hopefully the midfielder is able to help the Reds build on their already impressive 2-0 lead over Porto in the second-half.

Really hasn’t been said but #LFC will miss Milner when he leaves. Great attitude, always gives his best, a great footballer and very versatile. His crosses, tackles and adaptability makes him brilliant.

Great from Bobby that but James Milner is just a fantastic footballer. Read it well and played the ball brilliantly
