OPINION
On the face of it, that last thing Liverpool need to strengthen is their frontline. The Reds have no issues finding the back of the net, and have only been outscored by the attacking behemoth of Manchester City in the Premier League this season. Look beyond the front three of Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino, and Sadio Mane, however, and things look a little bit different. Daniel Sturridge is out of contract this summer, Xherdan Shaqiri has gone off a bit of a cliff in recent times, and Divock Origi, while better, is still not a top tier, prolific goalscorer. That might explain why, according to the Mirror, the Reds are looking at Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski. The outlet claims that Jurgen Klopp would be keen to link up with the Polish forward, who he managed at Borussia Dortmund, and many Liverpool fans are on board with the idea. For years now, Lewandowski has been one of the most impressive attacking forces in Europe, and while he may not hit the heights he once did with the regularity that he showed a few seasons ago, he can still pull it out of the bag and devastate teams when needed. Price could be an issue, bt it would be a massive move, no doubt.
