Trent Alexander-Arnold stayed out on the pitch for quite some after Liverpool’s final day victory over Wolves on Sunday.

The full-back spent the time delivering crosses for friends and family that he had invited onto the turf at Anfield to give them an idea of what it’s like to score in front of the Kop.

As reported in the Daily Mail, the 20-year-old was pictured whipping in balls to a group of mates well after most of his teammates and their supporters had left, despite the fact that his side had just been pipped to the title by Manchester City.

OPINION

This really sums this Liverpool side up. Having just lost one of the most enthralling title battles in recent memory, rather than sulking or wallowing in pity, Alexander-Arnold has taken the time to make some really precious memories for other people. Most of us won’t be lucky enough to to ever score at the ground of our beloved clubs, and while it may not be the same as pinging one in in front of 50,000 people, this small gesture from Trent will stay with his mates for the rest of their lives. The positivity that radiates from this squad is unreal, and it’s because of that string mental attitude and constant enthusiasm that you can see them picking themselves up, dusting themselves down, and having a proper good go at the title again next season. This Liverpool team are far from finished yet, and it is surely only a matter of time before they are rewarded with silverware for their efforts.
