OPINION
Liverpool attacker Sadio Mane produced another terrific performance, in the first half at least, in his team’s 2-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday. Although it ultimately came to nothing, the Senegal star can be proud of yet another influential outing, as he scored both of the Reds’ goals at Anfield. It was the former Southampton man who, when Jurgen Klopp’s team needed someone to make the difference, stepped up to the plate. He was in the right place at the right time to convert Trent Alexander-Arnold tremendous cross from the right hand side. There was never any doubt of it really, given the fine form the 27-year-old has been in throughout the second half of the season. Even though Liverpool ultimately missed out on the Premier League title to Manchester City, Mane can reflect on a phenomenal campaign from a personal level, where has took his game to a whole new level. Credit to him for that, even if he and his team weren’t quite able to get the job done in the end.

I keep saying this, but Sadio Mane has arguably been our best player this season. He’s the top goal scorer at home, and is continuously ruining defences every week. Influential player.
