Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is expected to drop Dejan Lovren and Daniel Sturridge for Tuesday’s vital Champions League clash with Barcelona.

The Reds go into their semi final second leg 3-0 down from the reverse fixture at the Nou Camp, meaning that Klopp’s team will have to go all out in search of victory.

That will likely mean Lovren and Sturridge making way in defence and attack respectively after struggling majorly against Newcastle United on Saturday, with Joel Matip and Divock Origi sure to replace the duo.

Those will most probably be the only two changes that the German makes as his team look to somehow reverse a three goal deficit at Anfield.

Alisson is the undisputed number one at Liverpool for a reason and there’s next to no chance that Klopp forsakes him here. Meanwhile, Andrew Robertson is a near certainty to keep his place at left back.

Alexander-Arnold will surely keep his place at from the Newcastle game at right back having been controversially dropped for the first leg on Wednesday. His crossing ability will be key to the Reds’ chances here. At centre back, Matip is hugely likely to come back in alongside Virgil van Dijk.

In central midfield, Fabinho, Jordan Henderson and Georginio Wijnaldum can all expect to start once again on Wednesday, with a three man unit preferable to the four man midfield Klopp tried in Spain.

Up front, Roberto Firmino appears unlikely to be fit having missed Saturday’s game. That will likely see Origi come in for Sturridge, having netted the winner off the bench against the Magpies. Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane are sure to start at Anfield, as well.
