COMMENTARY
Some Liverpool fans reacted to ESPN journalist Melissa Reddy providing an update on the future of Divock Origi and it seems supporters just want him to be happy. Reddy claimed in an article for ESPN that the Reds wouldn’t sanction the sale of Origi this summer even if it meant that he could leave for a free transfer next summer. Origi’s current contract is set to expire in July 2020 so he could walk out the doors at Anfield at the end of the upcoming season, however, it’s worth pointing out that his representatives have been in discussions with the Reds over a new deal for their client according to the broadcaster. Despite Liverpool potentially taking a risk over Origi, as they could miss out on a lucrative transfer fee, after his Champions League heroics it seems he can do no wrong. Several Reds fans admitted they’d hate to see him leave while another wanted him handed an improved deal to make sure he stayed. Origi scored eight goals and registered two assists in his 22 outings in his 2018/19 campaign with two of his goals coming against Barcelona in the Champions League semi-final.

he deserves to stay, tho he would probably be a second choice when Dazzler is ready. Its all up to him, being first team regular somewhere or bench at #LFC.
