Liverpool are probably going to make a decision on the future of Marko Grujic by the end of next week, according to DeichStube.

The German outlet claims the Serbian international is a top priority for Werder Bremen this summer, with old club Hertha Berlin also interested in a reunion.

DeichStube report that Galatasaray are also interested in the 23-year-old, but the Turkish League isn’t deemed competitive enough to warrant a move.

Despite Hertha Berlin holding an interest, the report suggests they hold no chance of re-signing the 6’3″ midfield enforcer [Transfermarkt] after the capital club signed Eduard Lowen from Nurnberg, a similar midfielder.

OPINION

With a loan move almost destined to happen for Grujic, a move to the Bundesliga seems the smartest decision from Klopp. The German boss has great experience of the Bundesliga, having spent the majority of his playing career there and the start of his management reign. The Reds’ boss will also have in mind the success that his 23-year-old midfielder enjoyed while on loan in Berlin last season. Bremen will be a step up from Berlin too, with Werder finishing a point outside European qualification but more importantly 10 points clear of Grujic’s former side last season. The Serbian excelled in the Hertha midfield, and with better options surrounding him, he could become even better this season. Grujic made two tackles on average per game, the most of any of his midfield teammates, and should he be given the chance he could easily go on to replicate that or do even better it. [WhoScored] A move to Bremen would surely be more beneficial to Grujic, who is surely nearing playing time at Anfield should he impress once again out on loan.
