COMMENTARY
Mohamed Salah scored for Egypt in their 2-0 win against DR Congo on Wednesday and had many Liverpool fans raving about his ability on social media as a result. The 27-year-old scored in the 43rd minute of the game to make Eqypt comfortable after previously racking up an assist by crossing the ball for Aston Villa’s Ahmed Elmohamady to convert in the 25th minute. Egypt’s win over DR Congo was enough to guarantee them a place in the last 16 of the African Cup of Nations after previously beating Zimbabwe in their opening game, and Salah’s country will be hoping his positive form continues. While you would think some Reds fans would be worried about Salah playing too many games at the tournament after he started 97% of Liverpool’s league games last season and appeared 52 times across all competitions, clearly the response to Salah’s success below shows that it isn’t a concern for them. One Liverpool fan even seemed inspired by the idea of Salah excelling at the AFCON as they believed his performances would see him return to Anfield full of confidence ready to have his best season yet. Considering the Reds attacker has won the Premier League’s Golden Boot in his last two seasons at the club, that’s some prediction.

I think Salah going to have his best season with Liverpool next season. I think he will be back with full confidence. Also if we add an AM to the team that will open more spaces for Salah to exploit.
