Liverpool’s transfer policy so far this summer has seen Jurgen Klopp place his focus on youth talents, both at the club and in the market.

The Reds have confirmed the signings of 17-year-old defender Sepp van den Berg, and 16-year-old midfielder Harvey Elliott so far, and Klopp has utilised a number of his academy starlets in pre-season.

Both Harry Wilson and Ryan Kent have returned from successful loan spells to feature heavily this summer, whereas Rhian Brewster has made the step out of the academy to highlight his talent in front of goal.

The 19-year-old striker has been given the nod by the German, with Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, and Sadio Mane all having extended breaks after completing international duties.

Brewster is surely set for a big year, and it is time for the England youth international to prove his worth after being featured on UEFA’s ones to watch list for the 2019/2020 season.

The forward flyer is the Reds’ top-scorer in pre-season with four goals and is surely set for minutes in the Premier League last season after recovering from ankle surgery at the end of last season, in which he also featured on the bench against Barcelona in the Champions League.

Klopp has already admitted that Brewster is set for a role within the first team next season, and if UEFA are correct with their prediction, the 19-year-old could be surely set to feature on the scoresheet a number of times next season – that is if he can used to a role off the bench.

Brewster has been involved in 18 goals in 21 Premier League 2 appearances and is ready for the step up. It is now time for the forward to prove his worth to Liverpool and become a new threat for the Reds next season alongside Divock Origi – another back-up striker.
