Nabil Fekir looks absolutely thrilled to have passed a medical to join Real Betis from Liverpool, however some fans are not sure that the Spanish side have done full checks on the France international. Fekir was widely reported to have failed a medical at Liverpool last summer due to an issue with one of his knees [Daily Star]. It led to the attacker’s move to Anfield breaking down and he would go on to spend another season at Lyon, before Betis snapped him up on Monday. As with most English-speaking accounts for European clubs, Betis were quick to try and grab some attention by aiming what seems like a subtle dig at Liverpool after Fekir passed his medical. Unsurprisingly, many Liverpool fans were quick to hit back at Real Betis, with most of them asking whether the doctors had properly assessed the forward’s knees. It really is great banter between the Anfield faithful and the La Liga side, who have managed to sign a very good player. They just need to make sure that he stays fit.
