OPINION
The best players in the world never stop growing. Not content to just rest on their laurels, they constantly push on to improve themselves for their own personal gain and for the good of the team. Mo Salah is, without a shadow of a doubt, one of those players. The Egyptian King could have quite easily switched off a little after a rigorous domestic campaign that ended in European glory with Liverpool, but instead, he has gone to the African Cup of Nations with his country and set the tournament alight. His latest piece of magic came from a free kick against Uganda in a 2-0 win. Salah opened the scoring in the 36th minute with a curling effort from just outside the box. Admittedly, the goalkeeper could probably do a whole lot better, but the effort is struck with venom and accuracy, and it shouldn’t detract from what was a very good goal for the 27-year-old. Liverpool fans will just be hoping he can emulate that kind of display for his club, with the forward still yet to score a free kick for the Reds, as reported by the Premier League. If he could add that string to his bow, he would take another step towards being the best in the world.
