These Liverpool fans are taking pre-season way too seriously. Ben Woodburn didn’t have the best of games against Sevilla on Sunday night when the Reds lost 2-1 to the Spanish side at Fenway Park. So what? It’s a pre-season game in which Jurgen Klopp was clearly experimenting and offering a chance to some of his younger players, like Woodburn, to show what they can offer to his first-team. Woodburn, 19, is one of the most highly-rated young players at Anfield and although he didn’t have the best loan spell at Sheffield United last season, telling the club to sell him off based on one pre-season friendly against one of the best teams he’s ever played against isn’t exactly him getting a fair chance. A lot of Liverpool fans on Twitter are just way too harsh when it comes to judging players in friendly matches. Ultimately the decision is down to Klopp but there’s no way that Liverpool will be selling Woodburn this summer. Another loan spell in the Championship could be a good idea for the Wales international.
